I'm going to be the one who takes the other road. I understand the NHRA tries to maximize their footprint on drag racing and at times they seem to be overbearing. Personally, however, I have not experienced any of this. It sounds to me that the NHRA does not see this as a safe venture. Having the exposed, expired chassis cert is only part of it. The article claims that other two seat vehicles exist and operate but at $199.00 per ride this sure as H isn't a top fuel dragster. They would use more than that in fuel for an eighth mile pass. Sounds to me the issue is safety for the client. Larry should take his business to a non-NHRA track and do business there but I can't imagine how much that ride would cost and if Larry really has a big bunch of money invested in that endeavor I question his business savvy.
