Yep. Someone should do an EV conversion on one of these cars and then go clean up on the autocross circuit. Put the battery weight low in the car and the electric motor up front and go to town. I'd think a person could buy a used Leaf for around $5000 and take the whole drivetrain out of it and drop it into an A body car for a killer autocrosser.


This one looks to be pulled by a cable in the straights. All I know is that it is TESLA-powered.

This also reinforces why I don't care for GoodGuys track layouts either, i think there are 3 180* tight turns there, which are quite boring for anything other than an FSAE car.
