I used to own this car back in 1978.

Challenger

It has had a number of things changed along the way (T/A spoilers added, cowl panel blackout, side stripes added, flip top gas cap added, polished trim rings added, A/C added (horror)) but the strangest one is the kick panels in the interior. Even though the car has white interior the kick panels were black when I owned it. I never knew that white kick panels even existed. But there they are on the car now.

Is this just a restoration error? Or should they be white? I don't recall ever seeing white kick panels before.
