If your building a stock grocery getter, than yeah keep all the factory components and refurbish, but if your building any "respectable" 440 today, you just need a block, Stealth/Eddy heads, Source Stroker assy or other brand stroker kit is really the way to go, or if you have "money to throw away" buy a crate or built to spec crate engine, as I get older I prefer the built to spec crate motor as I have other areas of the vehicle to focus attention on, or less time to bother with an engine build.... different strokes for different folks...
