I glassbead or sandblast EVERYTHING body or engine/driveline wise inside and out with ZERO issues, you just have to have an OCD attitude about blowing out/cleaning the part(s)/component(s) afterwards


Yes, as long as you have the OCD it will be OK...but really OCD, not just a spray with brake kleen. Sand can get embedded in the metal, or collect under the baffles etc, and several people found that out the hard way when their fresh engine had glass or sand in the oil after breakin. I'm not sure how many people would take enough care. But if you do, should be OK. Stakes are high though.
