I totally agree on the RPM part...but

Think about that. Pick a LARGE amount of misalignment in order to visualize an example----say 1 inch.

Now put two pulleys really close together.... 1 inch off would be a disaster.
Now put the pulleys really far apart (like 3 feet)... 1 inch would work fine.


I don't disagree...........
