Last one I did I went with Valvoline 10-40 and a bottle of GM EOS. I changed the oil after a few miles so I could see if there was any metal in the oil. This was a mild cam on a driver. If I had a serious cam and valve spring package I would consider the specialty break-in oils.

Some amount of very small metal flakes are normal on a brand new engine on the first oil change or two. Those small particles should recede with each oil change as time goes on.

I also run a filter mag on the oil filter.
