There is absolutely ZERO gain to this swap. It can't even be called an "upgrade". Just think how many years and how many cars have bushings in them. I can only surmise that Chrysler made the change to save money. Instead of reaming the hole to size and then pressing in a bushing, they could just hog out the crank and then tap a cheapo bearing into the existing flywheel register.
I've been reluctant to 'upgrade' to the anti-friction bearing also. With the brass bushing, even with marginal lubrication, it's hard to tear up the transmission input shaft. A failure of the roller bearing would probably give you a different result.
