In the small community named Curling, this old barber shop was the hub. It was also the home of Tom the barber who also restored Model A's.
Tom and his son Joey inspired me and helped them tinker with the old tin during the 80's.
As a kid I had no money and no car but built model kits dreaming of restoring a car of some kind.
Going to shows with my scale model kits loaded in the runble seat,Tom gave me a trophy just for doing so.
Tom taught me about nice junk and bad junk!
I learned a lot by doing with Tom and his projects.
His attention to detail got me on the resto bug.

I moved away in 1993,visited Tom in 97 and 99.
One day I will show Tom what I could do.
But in 2011 he died suddenly of a massive heart attack.
I never got to say goodbye.
On my visit, driving my Newport to the graveyard,
The trophy Tom gave me all those years ago I placed on his grave.
Thank you Tom God bless you.
