Is there a specified "throw" of the original plunger or does that even make a difference. I would think it would but only if you are using factory tuning procedures (see 1969 Master Tech "Performance" article for example adjustment). Don't solenoids vary in throw and not all are the same? I know there were two differen "throws" for my diesel starter solenoid and had to make sure I got the correct one. Just asking?
