Its guys like you Steff that peak my interest in building a Gen 3. Very few have this engines running like they should be capable of but a few like you are getting there. Great job.

Very good, glad you posted Cadamore as you seem to enjoy getting in the occasional jab on G3 Hemi guys. Can you give your current combo and weight that got you into the 5s in the 1/8th?

Heck I jab everybody sooner or later but I usually get it back. You gotta keep
It on the light side or it gets boring. Some guys have zero sence of humor.

First off the reason I stay with old school stuff is budget and what I can and have bought stuff for. I have 7500.00 in my current R3 solid lifter cam engine in my car right now that’s gone 5.98@2860 pounds. It is built more for bracket racing with lots of ET left on the table. I set the valves once this year and changed the oil once. 14-32 slicks instead of probably .15 quicker radials. I had around 4500.00 or less in my Edelbrock headed 408 that went low 6 teens in summer PA air. These I can build in my sleep. Gen 3’s I see guys buying and selling parts before they even start their builds. Some like the one listed above have the Gen 3’s figured out. Most don’t.

Need to throw that budget mindset right out the window if you ever plan to be competitive in a heads up world. Budgets and heads up dont go together. Anyway, get that damn thing done already, I dug the car when Stephen was shoeing it and would like to see it making laps again
