I'm guessing there is a long 3-spd tailshaft & a "short" a-body version?
What's up with all the "DRIVESHAFT" questions this week? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/scope.gif" alt="" />
Are the following statements both TRUE?
All A/B/C/E 904s are the same length "SHORT" & there are "SHORT" 3-spd & 4-spd manual transmissions for A-bodies.
** [color:"red"]Is "SHORT" the same dimension? [/color] **
All A/B/C/E 727s are the same length "LONG" & there are "LONG" 3-spd & 4-spd manual transmissions for B/C/E-bodies.

Yes, to the Long question.
im not sure on the short question.
and not that this makes a difference to the driveshaft length, but, a-body 4-speeds used both the small (904) and the large (727) output shaft splines.
while all of the B+E body 4-speeds all used the large spline output shaft
