Below is the difference between SS 3400 lbs. springs and Cal-Tracs with split mono's.
Both worked, up to a point, but two completely different pre-loads on the torsion bars and all twisted up with SS springs.
I wonder how much the roll bar helped with the twist. Not sure, but don't think it was much. It has subframe connectors in both shots. Took a TON of preload out of the drivers side front bar as I recall to get it level after the spring swap.
'63 Dodge 330 11.19 @ 121 mph Pump gas, n/a, through the mufflers on street tires with 3.54's. 3,600 lbs. 10.01 @ 133mph with a 250 shot of nitrous an a splash of race gas. 1.36 60 ft. 3,700 lbs.
