I have a 2012 5.7L R/T Challenger Classic with a 6 Spd manual & to me the rear end does seem to be the week link. Wheels hops pretty bad also without the traction control on. I haven't broken anything but it doesn't seem to like the punishment when power shifted. I wouldn't try slicks on the stock rear without some upgrades.
