So here's the back story, Just bought a Dodge Aspen 1978 supercoupe, with its e58 360, auto 904, and either 2.94 or 2.73 gears. Untouche shortblock as far as I know with edelbrock performer intake, heddman headers, and edelbrock carb. It's pretty lazy, and I have only driven it in ND, it will be even worse here in Fort Collins CO at 5000 ft. Now I haven't tuned it any other than adjusting the Kickdown, and it's previous owner has and HEI style proform distributor in it. And if the carb and timing are as far out of adjustment as the kickdown lever was I am sure I can improve it a bit. But....

Has anyone ever just bolted on Centrifugal Supercharger like a Torqstorm on one of these? For a little over 3k investment seems like it could be a lot of fun and boost really helps at high altitude. I know cast pistons arent great for boost but it's low compression and If it's healthy enough to handle it for a while it could be pretty darn fun, and then once it dies, build an engine specifically for it and really have fun. This will be just a street car, I probably won't go over 3.55 gears in the rear.

What do you think, try it? Or ....??? Nitrous???? LOL
