I don't really WANT to do an LS swap, but I can buy a low mile 5.3 with a 4L60E transmission for about 1/3 the price of a 5.7. Also, the LS is practically a bolt in using the 4.7 motor mounts. I'd prefer a 5.7, but finding one at a reasonable price is the hard part. I have one that I am putting in a 70 Duster, but I've already invested too much in that swap to use it in the Dakota. I do appreciate the info. I did not know you could run a G3 with the 4.7 ECM.
