Thanks all for the answers/suggestions.
I just got the heads installed along with the headers and was trying to avoid having to redo what I just did. I was hoping that someone had already tried the slip it in from the front idea before me. I am just not very confident in the 1/4" gap being able to seal with RTV.
I do have some gasket material that I might try the strip and RTV idea.

If you try it let it sit B4 putting the heads on or it will push all the rtv out just a friendly reminder
