Hi Guys,
maybe You all remember my car leans really bad when going slow around right hand turns, consequently rubbing the left rear tire on the inside of the wheelwell.
Ok, I ordered a complete front suspension rebuild.
But couldnt order any one kit, because its made up of bigger front ball joints, offset upper bushings, early lower ball joints and 74 chrysler rod ends.. anyhow, tomorrow I am also ordering new heavier torsion bars from Firm Feel, since they are close by..
Now about the rear shocks.
I currently have an 8 3/4 rear, narrowed, with 3000 lbs super stock springs moved into the frame rails
Mickey Thompson ET 13.5x15x30 inch tires. also 6 cylinder torsion bars.
When I put it together, the front passenger fender sat higher up in the air, than the drivers side for some reason. I was in a hurry and just shoved down hard on the fender and a loud "PoP" sound happened...so I think the lower bushing may be loose/broken?
The rear tires and
Everything clears fine, until I make a right turn.
I think its something with the front suspension being worn out or put together wrong.
and the Mopar Performance rear Super stock gas shocks
probably are not helping either.
They are whats recommended, from the place I bought them.
What I want to find, is a shock thats going to hold up, and actually create some H.D. damping
from like a truck or something?
I remember a post...but cannot find it, of course about a few of You guys running with rear truck shocks as they are longer and heavier?
From some year of Dodge truck? mid 90"s?
I just want to see, if thats part of the problem with my car and want to try them to see if it helps any.
It sure can't hurt any!
I don't know what year of dodge truck or anything to look for.
Sorry for the long letter and explanation.
I'm all out of ideas.
If none of this stuff will work, then I have to start with different tires and wheels and maybe a different rear housing or springs.
I thought I would take the inexpensive easy route first. I still havent even seen how fast this will go, and its been running for 2 years now!
It would be nice to finally take it for even a test and tune!
Thanks as always!
