I have a V300SD Racepak in my car it is painfully expensive every time a sensor is added to the system. Some of the latest fuel injection systems have excellent data logging capabilities. My best guess is that EFI systems will ultimately obsolete Racepak and hopefully bring the prices for logging down.
You could certainly do an EFI system to control your ignition and data log while still keeping the carb on the car.
I think it wouldn't be hard to be in an Megasquirt 3 system for your ignition and data logging for less money that you would spend on a race pack. If you need to add a dash you can buy a tablet at wal mart to use.
