Large batt goes to large starter stud.The sdmal starter stud get a IIRc 10 gauge or so from the relay on firewall.My 65 is sleeping or id look to see exactly what colors they are.But the small starter wire gets power when key is turned to start.Bir batt cable power to starter all the time.Dont know where my factory manual is.If you need more Ill look for it.
