ALLEGEDLY, Code 015, at least as far as info I have seen to this point, indicates that for 71 E-Body with 3.23 standard axle, with 11" rear brakes and 7260 u-joints (both of which I have) shows the spec requires the 1-7/8" 489 diff. Sorry to disappoint any previously published info!!! Also, the date codes on the gearset are dead on for my car, and the diff assembly date (2/9/71) AND the ratio (3.23) are STAMPED DIRECTLY INTO THE DIFF CASE. No tag under and mounting nut.

I will also state without question that my car was 100 % untouched prior to my acquisition, as verified by conversation with the original owner, as well as my observations during disassembly.

The info for my 014 is wrong in the white book listing it as a 3:55sg but the broadcast sheet list it as a 3:23 open
