I have dealt with this same situation; wanting to maintain a particular rear height. After trying several things that cost a good bit of money and aggravation, what finally worked for me was to buy some Hellwig leaf helper springs.

I mounted them on the rear segments above the springs. You cannot even tell that they are there. And I can set the rear height right where I want it and can easily change it if/when I want or need.
