It all has to do with voltage drop. Length/diameter ratio vs available battery capacity. However the the starter Kicking out doesn't sound like a lack of watts to the starter. Does the starter continue to spin without being engaged to the ring gear? If so that sound more like a mechanical internal starter or alignment issue. Doug
