Shutting the track down as soon as the last race pass was made wasn't a good thing. I understand it keeps the help there longer, but if cars stop going down the track mid day saturday it becomes a quiet parking lot with little to do or see. Almost everyone I spoke to felt the same. Keeping the track open for test passes would be a great, and draw people that just want to blast down the track. I would, like most i think pay a bit more to keep the track open till maybe 9 or 10pm. Or if no one wants to run ok shut down.

The last year it ran they kind of gave us the bums rush to get it over with. I'll be trying to talk to whom ever I can to try and correct that if possible. I'll even sponsor a class if necessary.

A big crowd would go along way to keeping it a float, and fun.

Need to get some diapers on cars too. The oil down delays are a huge drag.

ALL are great thoughts/ideas. It reminds me the one year Steff invited me out to a Mopar race at Indy. It was the first year the Roadrunner had the 6.1L...This was before Josh ran the event, and I still remember the event shutting down around 6pm? on a Saturday night! Beautiful weather etc. just dead silence...it felt so wrong that it ended so early when it would seem easy to 'buy' more track time for testing or gamblers etc.
