I've run 1/2" aluminum hard line on several Mopars in the last 30 years; generally following the OEM routing except for frame-connector cars, which get a straighter shot. Key is adequate clamps & using hoses at each end (tank & pump or pumps). I use fire-sleeve anywhere near a heat source. For street use I prefer to run the fire-sleeve the full length of the line so it's really protected & insulated.

I figure anything with 1/2" line is no longer strictly restored, and at that point function is more important than exact originality.
