The only Downside to the morels might be (and it's minor) is since the solids use the same long body as their hydraulics, you wind up with a considerably shorter pushrod compared to other brands. On a BB it's not really much of an issue but on something like a wigh winding 340 small block the additional angularity from the 59 degree valley is made a bit more severe when you think of spinning 7K vs 6K. I spun the solids 6800+ in my 414 routinely without issue and when I pulled them out they are "as new"

But they are very high quality and durable from my experience.
