The single shaft T&D rocker's are a compromised design, just like any other off the shelf single shaft rocker. The adjuster angles are not correct, and that causes excessive angular it in some instances. It doesn't take much for the pushrod to come out, especially if there is any instability causing valve float.

To the OP, it would be worth considering a set of the rockers shown in the pic. They are T&Ds made to my spec, and the angles are spot on when correctly installed. With a .720"ish solid roller, it had less than a .045" sweep on the valve tip. Well worth considering if you want it right.
