I strongly suggest a filter between tank and pump (no brainer there) but more importantly a filter right before the metering valve. I had a lot of problems when making up new braided lines. Try as I might, I could never get them perfectly clean. I had Clogged nozzles and a. Bypass. Or idle valve hung up once or twice.
Bite the bullet now and buy a Primer. Plus to go with it. A big side benefit besides fast warm up and fuel savings is no corousion in the cylinders, a problem with alky. It is tough to totally clear out the cylinders between races.
