If the pic is the shifter in neutral, I would imagine that 1st is hitting as well. The picture is showing me that the bracket is twisted toward the front of the car and it is not level from the bend to the shifter. It looks as if you could use this bracket with some cut and fab modification. Otherwise that can't be the right bracket.
Its in neutral as shown I think in the 1-2 shifter gate. I can get it in 1st or 2nd but it rubs the console. Reverse is out of the question without some
serious distorting the console
