As alluded to above, you don't need to re-jet unless the carb is a post '74 passenger car T.Q. with smogger calibration. All '71-'74 T.Q.'s can be run as-is without re-jetting. The engine will only use the exact air and gas it needs thanks to the sophistication of these carbs. All three main circuits, idle, cruse and wot(hi speed)can be 'dialed-in' externally to compensate for weather and atmospheric conditions etc. So you can easily tune for max performance and gas mileage, David.
