If the car has the V24 option (on the build sheet) the hood is painted black and has the 340 wedge call out Correct, no hood scoops were available on any year 340 Dusters. The V24 package included blackout in many other areas of the car as well (not just the hood) tops of fenders, cowl, tops of doors, upper quarters, drip trough surround, and A-pillars were also black.
