Okay I got an aem a/f set up and I can't get this this to read at an idol it just says it's lean and shows no numbers if I bring it up around 1500 rpm it's at 17-18 I got a good ground and a full 12 volt power supply anyone else have this problem and if so what was the cure and yes this was a brand new in the box unit
It should read something unless it's so lean it's out of range even for a wideband sensor, and that is possible. What carburetor and how much camshaft? What is the ignition timing at idle? For a street-driven car it is important to be able to read AFR at idle and just off-idle since that's where the carburetor is most of the time. Your carburetor might need some minor surgery to get it right.
