My old Cuda never got over 200 at the track (never street driven), even though the engine would go over 220 on occasion. I was told to keep it under 220 to make sure I didn't shorten the life of the trans too much.

Not to hijack the thread, but I am curious how much a 10 degree change in trans temperature made in ET and the track? Since my car was all over the place ET wise, I never was able to come to any conclusion on my own.
