Hey Guys,

I'm working on a 69 coronet 727 and have run into an issue with the neutral safety/reverse switch.

The problem was reverse lights are on in all drive gears... so naturally the first thing I did was ID the tranny to make sure it wasn't a 68 that someone stuck a 3 wire switch in. It's numbers matching to the car so 3 wire switch should be correct.

So I swapped the switch out for a new one... the old one does look a little beat, the spring feels worn and doesn't seem to return all the way... but it does change resistance across the various pins on depression so... technically functioning.

The new standard switch is now installed and now the car won't shift past drive so obviously the rooster tail is jamming on the new switch.

anyone ever have an issue with the new standard NS11 switches being too tall ?? or.. I notice there is also an NS11T that comes up in parts search... so do I maybe have the wrong one ?

Thanks...
