I had a Richmond in my 64 Savoy and I can tell you that it's a whole bunch of fabrication involved. There is a guy local to me that I was giving advice to that put a Richmond in his Cuda. He did have to fab his own transmission crossmember and shift linkage. I used a Long V-gate in my Savoy so I needed a substantial hole in the floor. I use an e-body shifter position in my car and had to make my own mount up and at the rear of the transmission. Also made all my own custom linkage with CM tubing and heim joints.

What did you think of the Richmond trans itself compared to 883 it terms of shifting, durability and general use? Compared to T56?

I picked up a new one with long shifter and rods for my A-body Barracuda. I known it's going to take some major fab work.
