Please stop with the smoke screens, the subject line was about 1971 barracuda's. 1970 was the first model year "required" to have the Compliance Decal. Please take note of the date of your posted "document", If I read it correctly it is dated 1972. The First "compliance decal" was first used on some but not all Daytona's but became mandatory for the 1970 model year. The wording on the decal was chosen by multiple choice by the manufactures (4) choices that would best suit there purposes of self compliances. If you would take the time to read the Compliance Decal of the 1970 -71 model year you would see that it self explanatory.
it reads " THIS VEHICLE CONFORMS TO ALL APPLICABLE U.S. FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFTEY STANDARDS IN EFFECT ON THE DATE OF MANUFACTURE SHOWN ABOVE" key words conforms, applicable, in effect on the date of manufacture shown above. noting the vehicle was manufactured by the Safety Standards in effect on that particular date. nothing about the date the vehicle was finished or assembled. that is not an opinion it is simply what it states.
