I'm not asking what is possible - I can build anything. I was asking opinions about cost - given the steps I took 12 years ago, before the EFI options we have today.

Trunk space is not a concern - and I can fab an aluminum barrier to keep the passenger compartment separate. I will mount the battery in the trunk anyway.

I am leaning toward putting a stock tank back in. One of the sticking points that is specific to a '67 is that the factory configuration has only 1 tank strap, and it runs perpendicular to the frame rail. So, this is different than the familiar, '68 on up 2 strap, parallel to the frame style. If I replace the trunk - I'd just put the '68 style in it - but it could be a little more work to make the change.
