First, the stamped chain cover from 440sourse sucks. Looks like it was stamped wrong as the crank snout opening was to the left of center.Had to drill the pin locating holes in the pan much larger. Loosen all the bolts and I think it self centered as I installed the damper. Looked ok when I was done.Hope it don't leak. The timing indicator from 440 also was a joke. Not even close to TDC, off by 4* and best I could do adjusting was still 2* off.


I will always send stuff back before I try to make it fit. These companies need to learn parts that don't fit are unacceptable and they need to tighten down on their manufacturer.

As far as the distributor, on my lowdeck with Victor heads, it's super close so I'm surprised they haven't made a casting change yet.
