We used to inspect Craftsman torque wrenches when I worked in service at Sears.

Pretty simple. 1 foot from drive weights were set. Its been almost 30 years but basically we hung 25 lbs on the scale type and checked. Did this again at 50, 75, 100. On those cheap wrenches you adjust the needle. On clickerz you checked using a 20 lb weight. Then added 1 lb at a time till it clicked. We followed the scale and noted each entry on the inspection card. Was told they check micometers before my time there.


Career best 8.02 @ 169 at 3050# and 10" tires small block power.
