If it matters, for the amount of work and $$ to ship 'em, retro fit the working lights, straighten them out, fit, paint along with care, it might be worth it to have the steel ones dipped and they might be more resilient then the glass ones and just as light in weight. Just my 2 cents from my 6ix sense.

I stuck with My lightend steel ones. Didn't think it was worth the effort either. Plus I didn't like the feel of the soft fiberglass ones that I felt.
