The new head is for 4.840 bore space blocks "600-13X". We raced the prototype head last year. It was welded up and full of epoxy and used the old exhaust port as the 600-13X head. After seeing the performance gain Russ at Indy cylinder head modified the core boxes adding material to the casting to facilitate the new port. That was completed last year. We purchased 2 sets of heads and sent them up to Goodwin for porting. At that time Todd advised me that there was no way the old exhaust port would keep up with the intake port. So again with a lot of welding and some inserts welded in Todd raised the exhaust port. The new head complete with new exhaust port are in the machining center being ported as we speak. Hopefully Indy will modify the core box again to change the exhaust port.

Casting are in stock at Indy now. These castings support the new intake port but utilize the old exhaust port. Which is the same head we raced last year. That head made 30 more hp than our previous engine and it was 67 inches smaller. The test engine this year will be a big engine again "632ci". I think it will make 125 HP more than the 632 inch motors we have built in the past. Conservatively the intake flows well over 515 cfm.
