1966 64 Dodge running a "Street Ram" 426. Purchased from Grand Spalding Dodge ( actually have the bill of sale with "Mr. Norm" being the sales man ). Car ran a best of 12.85 completely stock except for a gear and slicks. US30 drag strip, Wisconsin.
Curious, what was a "Street Ram" engine combo?
The "street ram" wedge was introduced in 1964,65 in B-body cars only. It was basically an increased bore version of the 413 single 4 brrl carbed engine. Not much similarity to the 426 max wedge motors. Smaller heads, exhaust manifolds, hydraulic cam, single 4 brrl cast iron intake. Very streetable and could still run in the high 12's. Pretty awesome for the day, and not too shabby for today.
