As stated in the second post, if you run slicks at the track you will need to have a scatter shield . Have a track that doesn't check for safety items ? Just do yourself and others a favor and get a scatter shield . Will something happen? probably not if you have a name brand flywheel and pressure plate. But as stated above , how do you like your feet, or the rest of your car. I have seen myself 2 clutch explosions in my time of drag racing, both were flywheel , both blew up through the cars breaking the drivers feet and continuing up through the dash / windshield destroying both cars. The first one killed a spectator. After seeing that , I myself ordered a Lakewood, best investment you'll ever make.
