Replacing a skipped timing chain on a small block and not understanding something:

With both marks on the cam sprocket and crank sprocket facing each other, the rotor is pointed at #6

Wha? Shouldn't it be pointed at #1? To get it to #1 the mark is straight up. Am I doing something wrong?
