A RACE trans, usually with tight and or high stall converters, need to move a lot of fluid to keep heat down. That said, any external filter has to be placed in the cooler circuit. A circuit that in itself is somewhat restrictive depending on mods. Adding a filter here, to me would only increase that restriction. Most RACE glides these days have the cooler circuit modified to just dump the fluid back into the pan in lieu of using the "In" port on the case. So if your plumbing is utilizing the entire cooler circuit, that could be a potential problem. You should likely consult with your trans builder and see what HE says. I know on ours, the "In" port is completely blocked off
