You'll "B" fine. I've done it a few times before and it isn't that big a deal. I did it by feel just like the fronts and never any problems. Just make sure the new bearings have plenty of grease. Also, I never used anything on the splines but caution. Good time for new seals there as well.
I have mechanical Aptitude. I can screw up anything.
