How about switching to the 10.5x2.5 inch drums and backing plates, maybe with forklift linings
The stockers use to use the really soft forklift linings with 9x3 inch brakes on the rears foot braking
cab, tell us more about those forklift linings. do they come in just the lining you can rivet on your shoes, or is there a possible shoe set for the 10" brakes ? what are they made of ? are the linings thicker than the stock material ? and lastly, what size and approximately what year range of fork lift should a guy be looking at for this material ?
