Just counted the input splines and it is 23
It's from a 383 powered B body , should have 2 shifter mounts on the tailshaft.
How do you figure it's a 383? Were you able to look up the numbers previously mentioned or is there a reason it couldn't be a small block tranny?
I'm not saying you are wrong, I am just curious how you arrived at that so I will be better informed in the future.

Hamtramack Historical ... there weren't any 318 4 speed B bodies built so that would mean it was behind a big block and the only big block with a 23 spline 833 is a 383 powered car, and only 4bbl equipped in 1970.
