You've got to mean the lock cylinder. You have to disassemble the column to replace the switch. I've got JS Restoration reworking my OEM ignition switch.
Could be the lock cylinder you installed does not move the ignition switch to the correct position either in Accessories or IGN1 positions. And definitely check the radio power wire for shorting out at the ash Reciever! How well do your backup lamps work? Same circuit as the radio-
