What are your thoughts on the quality of Timken vs. Koyo bearings? Looking at bearing kits for a Dana 60 and there's a pretty big difference in price...Timken being more expensive. Are they worth it?
I got Timken bearing to use for set up for about $10 ea at Vatozone........
Really? Mine only shows the outer bearing for the 8 3/4
I used a Koyo from a part store when I made my setup bearing last time, it was a mistake on my part. When I pressed the Timken on it was slightly different depth, didn't kill the pattern, but went from a perfect pattern to a just OK pattern. The Koyo has less rollers in it. So I need to get a Timken this time, and rehone (PITA)
